Bruce Martin
We, the family of the late Bruce Martin wish to express our gratitude and appreciation to many friends and family from near and far who gave their support and love during the difficult days following Bruce’s sudden passing on September 11th 2011.
Our Thanks to:
The many members of our family and friends who spent time with us to talk, cry, laugh and share many memories. Everyone who sent food, flowers, cards, messages or made donations in Bruce’s Memory. Aunt Norma for being with Bruce when he needed her most. Dr. Power, staff of Bonne Bay Health Centre, Justin and Brenda (ambulance attendants) for taking good care of Bruce at the end of his earthly journey.
Rev. Charlene Laing & Ida Noel (Lay reader), for the wonderful service celebrating Bruce’s life. Rev. Charlene, thanks for the time you spent with all of us making arrangements and giving moral support. The choir and Aunt Dorothy (organist) who gave us the gift of music. Glenda (sister), George (brother-in-law), Christopher (nephew) and Abigail (cousin) for your spiritual bible readings. Eldon King for your heartfelt tribute for a good friend. We will always remember and cherish your words. Wayne Parsons (cousin) and Charlie Payne (friend) for the caring in your music and voices as you sang “In The Garden”. The pallbearers: brothers-in-law: Curtis, Randy, Todd, Boyd, Tom, Sidney, Curtis. We give you our love and thanks.
The friends who prepared the grave site. We will always be grateful for your caring and doing one last favor for your friend. To Comrades of the Legion and Basil who provided the honor guard. Bruce would have been honored as we were for your thoughtfulness and caring. The ladies who served the lunch after the funeral and all those who provided the food. To all those who were so willing to spend time in church during the wake and all those who visited. To the staff of Fillatre’s Funeral Home, and friend Ernie Fillatre for making funeral arrangements and performing their duties in such a kind and professional manner.
Our thanks to everyone we mentioned and to anyone we have forgotten. Your caring, thoughtfulness, compassion and love helped us through the difficult days we were so unprepared for. We will always remember and be grateful for every thought, word and deed.
