NICKERSON, Jean Ellen – 66, Albro Lake Road, Dartmouth, passed away on November 9, 2011 at home. Born in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Katherine (Ward) Surette. She was a housewife. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Terry), Dartmouth; four sons, Jamie (Tara), Cape Breton; Leslie (Glenna), Halifax; Lawrence (Benita), Halifax; Corey (Ashley), Cape Breton; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister at birth, her brother William and four grandchildren. Visitation took place from 2 to 4 and again from 7 to 9 Friday, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 12, both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Rev. A. D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
