WW II Veteran 59th Royal Artillery, NFLD Regiment. Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Sunday, November 1, 2009, Bill Marshall in his 87th year. Predeceased by his parents, Herbert (Catherine Bell) Marshall, Father-in-law and wife William (Anna Peddle) Trenchard, Brother-in-law Thomas Trenchard, sisters-in-law: Doris Alexander Hussey, Jeannie McFarland, Eva (Arthur) Jastremski, Mary Trenchard, niece Katherine Trenchard. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 60 years, Mollie (Trenchard), Son Bill Jr., brother Herbert, grandson Cory (Allison) Marshall and four darling great-grandchildren: Damian, Madison, Ryan and Emily. Also sisters-in-law: Lillian Harris, Florence Traverse, brothers-in-law: Douglas (Violet) Trenchard and Fred Trenchard. Nieces and nephews, Carol (Peter) O’Hagan, Lisa (Kevin) O’Neil, Debbie (Edward) Zennick, Fred (Brenda) Trenchard, Richard Trenchard, Jennifer (Charles) Wilson, Gerry (Betty) Harris, Douglas Trenchard Jr., Sonia Trenchard, Barry (Jackie) Trenchard. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel.
