Sheila Richard
RICHARD, SHEILA HILDA MAY (WINGFIELD) - (1927 – 2011) - REXTON, NB – Sheila Richard passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18th, 2011 at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent. Born January 9th, 1927 in Worthing, Sussex, England to George W. Wingfield and May (Kimber) Wingfield. Sheila worked for the War Effort in England in the plants. She also worked for Broadway actors and actresses in the dressing rooms getting them fitted for stage in London, among other things in England. Sheila was married to the love of her life Patrick Joseph Richard on October 17th, 1945 in Durham, England. She immigrated to Canada travelling on the Queen Mary through Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Sheila is survived by four sons; George Ian Richard (Regina) of Kingston, Nova Scotia, James Richard of Rexton, John Richard (Cora-Coreine Paul) of Richibucto, Kevin Richard of Rexton and one daughter; Patricia Richard of Rexton, five grandchildren; Robbie, Melodie, Amanda, Tatanya and Joseph, four great grandchildren; Jason, Karley, Kayla, Corra and special nieces; Maureen (John) King, Diane Fitzgerald, Paula Fitzgerald, Margaret Fitzgerald (Godchild), Theresa (Malcolm) Beetham, Denise (Jim) Walker all of England and Geraldine (Jack) Cambell of Vancouver and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Sheila was predeceased by three brothers; Leslie, George and Edwin Wingfield, two sisters; Pamela (James) Fitzgerald and Brenda (James) Mullins, grandson; John and great grandson; Brandon.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until time of funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011 at 4:00 pm, Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto. Special thanks to the Rexton Fire Department, Ambulance, Extra Mural, Dr. Michelle LeBlanc and nursing staff at the Stella Maris Hospital and Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital for their care of Sheila.
