The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the QEII Halifax Infirmary, on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, of Ida Elizabeth Embleton, RN, of Cornwall, born in Dublin, Ireland, age 79. She was the daughter of the late Emmet and Elizabeth Collins. Ida was the beloved wife of Captain W. Peter Embleton; loving mother to Peter (Jacquie), Ottawa, Ont.; Neil (Veronica), Sundre, Alta.; Philip (Irina), Dharan, Saudi Arabia; Nicola (William Embleton-Lake), Halifax, N.S.; and Patricia (Cory Mosher), Mississauga, Ont.; and cherished grandmother to Christina and William; Courtney and Brett; Roman, Dimitri and Ida; Christopher, Steven and Timothy; and Hailey and Matthew. Ida's loving smile and caring grace will be sorely missed. Visitations will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall, on Monday, Nov. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service on Monday at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will occur at a later date.
