MARTIN, GOLDIE GLENWOOD - Goldie G. Martin of Harvey, York County, NB passed away November 19, 2011 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. Goldie was born at Caledonia, Nova Scotia in 1922, a son of the late Oswald and Annie (James) Martin. He is survived by his son, Paul Martin (Karen) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; his sisters-in-law, Gladys Martin, Shirley Martin, Beatrice Martin, Olga Martin, Shirley Jamieson, Lorraine Hickey (Mike) and Kay Messer; his brothers-in-law, Hayes Messer and Vaughan Messer (Bessie) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Goldie was predeceased by his wife, Muriel P. (Messer) Martin in 2010, his sisters, Evelyn Thompson and Edna Vail and his brothers, Edmund, Raymond, Lawrence, Perley, Olsford and Donald Martin.
Visitation will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship room.
