On October 30, 2009 Dick passed away peacefully at Overlander Extended Care Hospital.

Dick was born on January 17, 1927 and was raised in Kamloops. He attended Lloyd George Public school and Allen Mathews High School. He worked in construction in many parts of B.C.

Dick was predeceased by his mother and father, brothers Syd, Fred and George, wife Grace Taylor Willan on January 17, 1998 and his two sisters, Evelyn and Irene, sister-in-law Sadie Willan.

He is survived by his brother Harold, sister-in-law Helen Willan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bert and Terry Edgeworth, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Dick and Grace were members of the Outdoor Club and enjoyed the various hikes they went on. He also liked to play baseball and played for a few teams on pick-up-games. Dick spent two happy years at the Renaissance. He loved to sing and joined in the sing-alongs there.

We wish to thank all the staff for the loving care he received there. Dick moved into the Overlander Extended Care in January 2008. He also received wonderful care there and we would like to thank the staff for the great care they gave him.

We will miss Dick and he will
always be in our hearts.

After cremation he will rest at the foot of his mother's grave at Pleasant St. Cemetery.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made to Royal Inland Hospital towards a new M.R.I. Machine.

Kamloops Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
