Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 of Mrs. Anne M. Smith (nee Fleming) of Hunter River age 69 years. Beloved wife of the late Fred Smith and dear mother of Tracey (Neil) Stead of Wheatley River, Tammy (Ian) Simmons of Summerside, Freddy (Amanda) Smith of Calgary, Alta., Kelly (Colin) Hughes of Wheatley River and Jamie (Erin) Smith of Stratford. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Matthew, Ashley, Daniel, Hayley, Gracie, Dillan, Coady, Brayden and Camdyn, her sister Joyce Callbeck, brothers David (Valerie) Fleming, Tim (Heather) Fleming, brothers and sisters-in-law Glen (Nancy) Smith, Penny Moffatt, Wayne (Dail) Smith, Cindy Thistle, Dale (Cecil) Hurry, Kerry (Sheri) Smith, and Karen Smith. She was predeceased by her parents Dermot and Anna (Dalton) Fleming, father and mother-in-law Doug and Vera (Jenkins) Smith, brothers-in-law Edmund "Duck" Sherren, Shawn Smith, Ray Taylor, Cliff Moffatt, John Thistle and sisters-in-law Audrey and Sadie Smith. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Friday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
