It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris Wells of Port Saunders, NL, announce her passing on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Tom; son Kenneth; granddaughter Julietta; grandson Donovan; great-grandchildren Parker and Sophia; sisters Renne (George), Anchor Point, Peal (Sam), River of Ponds, Catherine, Corner Brook, and May (Henry), Port Saunders; brothers Dwight (Brenda), Otto (Bonnie), Brampton, Ontario, Frederick (Pat), Manley, London, Ontario, and Walter (Irene), Hawkes Bay; brother-in-law Don Verge, Deer Lake, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Muriel Sheppard, sister Philmon Verge, brothers Thomas and Kenneth, and sister-in-law Lydia. Visitation took place at Good Tidings Pentecostal Church in Port Saunders on Tuesday, from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Jenkins officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in River of Ponds. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
