Peacefully at the Chelsey Nursing Home, London, Ontario on Saturday, November 19, 2011, of Marion Kathleen (nee Shaw) Lowe, formerly of Charlottetown, aged 87 years.
Beloved wife of the late Victor Verden Lowe, and dear mother of Judith Catherine (Borden) Trenholm of London, Ont., Charles Barry (Faye) Lowe of North Vancouver, and Nancy Patricia Babiuk of Whitehorse, Yukon. Marion is also fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Charles (Olive) Lund, James (Kay) Lund, Jackie Lund, Barbara (Haveland) MacDougall; sister-in-law, Laura Lund; and many nieces and nephews.
Marion was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Ann and son Joseph Ivan Lowe; son-in-law, Benjamin Babiuk; brothers, George “Happy” Lund, John Shaw, Harold Lund, Alwin Lund and Tommy (Eileen) Lund; and sisters, Joan (Lionel “Bud”) Godfrey, Edna Shaw and Florence (Alfred) Trainor.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
If so desired, memorials in Marion’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home.
