Spencley, Alan Bruce
1951-2011
The death of Alan Spencley, 60, of Midgic, occurred on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Hamilton, ON, Alan was a son of the late Walter Spencley and Mary (Ison) Day of Midgic.
Alan was a Freeman to the bitter end.
"For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant." 1 Corinthians 7:22
Alan will be sadly missed by his mother, Mary Day of MIdgic; a son, Gabriel, Nipewan, Manitoba; a brother John (Christina) Spencley, Midgic; three granddaughters; two nephews and many Freeman friends.
Besides his father, Alan was predeceased by his brother in infancy, James Earl.
Honoring Alan's wishes, the remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations, if so desired, may be made online to the Phoenixtears.ca, or through the funeral home to the Westcock Cemetery, or a charity of the donor's choice.
