Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on November 22nd, 2011, at St. Luke’s Homes, Robert (Bob) Chafe, age 92 years. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Dot); parents Ellen & Edward Chafe; brothers Willie, Gerald (Philomena) and Richard (Elizabeth); sisters Margaret (Chesley) and Eileen; sister-in-law Harriett Chafe and brothers-in-law Hughie Chafe and Leonard Sheppard. Leaving to mourn, his daughter Denise (Keith Dooley); son Douglas (Rose), as well as three adored grandchildren: Jennifer, Rachel and Colin. Also leaving to mourn his brother John (Margaret); sisters Mary and Annie and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Bob will be dearly missed by the staff and residents of St. Luke’s Homes where he resided for the past 17 months. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from St. Kevin’s Roman Catholic Church, Goulds on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Goulds.
