Alyre Goguen
GOGUEN, ALYRE - 1925 - 2011 - Alyre Goguen, 86 of Notre-Dame, passed away peacefully, at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital University Center, Moncton on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011. He was married to Nélida (Robichaud) Goguen. Born in Notre-Dame on November 18th, 1925, he was the son of the late Philias and the late Lucianne (Cormier) Goguen. Alyre was a WWII veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, he was also a member of the Notre-Dame Golden Age Club. He will be sadly missed by his wife Nélida, his eight children; Rhéa LeBlanc (Eric Boucher), Diane Dallaire (Marcel), of Notre-Dame and Charline Goguen of Moncton, Ginette Dallaire (Maurice) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Bernice Léger (Claude) of Saint-Antoine, Gracia Doiron (Danny Vienneau) of Haut Aboujagane, Hervé (Rose-Hélène) of Moncton, and Yvon (Odette) of Notre-Dame, sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn one sister Marie Despres of Moncton and one brother Charlie (Rhéa) of Notre-Dame and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters; Anna, Joséphine, Sarah and Eva and one brother Amédée.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame on Friday, November 25th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Saturday from 8:30 to 10:15 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame Church on Saturday, November 26th, 2011 at 10:30 am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Alyre’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
