Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009 at the Palliative Care Unit after a courageous four year battle with brain cancer, Leigh Anne MacDonald, age 31 years. Predeceased by grandparents Frank and Dorothy MacDonald and Cornelius and Margaret Aspell. She leaves to mourn her loving parents Melvin and Vivian MacDonald, her only brother Blair and wife Lauren; aunts: Mary (Peter Muise), Marie (Earl Dwyer), Philomena (James Boland); MacDonald uncles: Donald (Lorraine), Raymond (Christine), Brian (Marlene), Gordon (Yvonne), Kevin (Maria), James (Carol), Allan; godparents Margaret and Billy Glynn, godson Benjamin Carpenter, many great aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends. Also left to mourn are her co-workers at the Health Sciences Centre especially the emergency and dialysis departments. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, November 7th and Sunday, November 8th from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Bay Bulls on Monday, Nov. 9th, 2009 at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta Cemetery, Bay Bulls. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre or the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre.
