CORBIN, Victor V. - 90, of New Salem, Cumberland Co. passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Bayview Memorial Health Centre, Advocate Harbour. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was a son of the late Ralph and Amy (Lovelock) Corbin. He was a veteran of World War II and member of the Royal Canadian Air Force retiring in 1971 after 29 years service. He was very active within his community and was instrumental in raising funds for the construction of Bayview Memorial Health Care Centre. He is survived by his wife, the former Violet McAloney; mother-in-law, Lena McAloney, Advocate Harbour; daughters, Loretta Totten (Doug), Aylesford; Sunda McCarty (Bill), New Salem; Laverne Lent (Wayne), Advocate Harbour; sons, Clarke (Mary), New Salem; Larry (Marcia), Barney’s River; Randy (Wanda MacLeod), Bedford; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Mabel; brothers, Clifford and Curtis. There will be no funeral services by his request. Memorial donations to Bayview Memorial Health Centre Foundation.
