We, the family of the late Mary Ellen (Williston) MacDonald, wish to express our sincerest gratitude to those who expressed such kindness in our recent loss. To those who phoned, visited and sent food to our homes; to those who attended the visitation and funeral, sent flowers, made charitable donations and sent mass and sympathy cards, we are truly grateful for your thoughtfulness and acts kindness; we will remember them always. Thank you to Rev. Robert Lyle for attending the wake and officiating at the funeral service, and to the organist and choir of Bethel Presbyterian Church, thank you. Sincerest thanks to Amy Baker for her beautiful rendition of "Amazing Grace"; to Bill MacDonald, Floyd Williston and Patricia Murphy for their readings, eulogy and farewell to mom. To the pallbearers Richard Aboud, Dan MacLean and grandsons, Matt Aboud and Gary, Nick and David Ciambella, thank you. Special thanks to Brenda Bidart for your time and special acts of kindness and friendship throughout mom's illness and after her passing. Thank you to Jenny and her husband Dan for hosting a wonderful tea and reception at their home following the funeral service. Thank you to the staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel for your services, kindness and professionalism throughout this difficult time. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Glenn Gracie for your understanding care for Mom throughout the past 35 years. Also thank you to the nurses in units 3A and 4D at the Regional Hospital for your kindness and compassion when caring for mom. Particularly, we wish to thank Norah Troke who showed special care and kindness toward mom. Finally, thank you to all of Betty's co-workers at Aliant and friends, and to Kathryn's friends and clients of Julie's Beauty Shoppe. God bless you all.
