Passed away suddenly on November 26, 2011, at the age of 50. David is pre-deceased by his mother Catherine (Bernice), his sister Mary, and brother Alfred. Left with fond and loving memories to celebrate his life is his father, James and his brothers: Perry (Jackie), Bruce (Sherrie), and Ralph (Susan). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He will be forever remembered by his aunts and uncles and cousins in Wales and mainland Canada, as well as his many friends and co-workers at New Dock. David will be forever remembered as a hard working community minded person. He was a twenty-six year continuous serving member of the Brigus Volunteer Fire Brigade and recently a fire captain. David cherished his work and service to the community with the brigade and he will be missed by his many fire comrades and friends. David will be resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus on Monday, November 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29th from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Final viewing will be Wednesday, November 30th from 10:00 to 12:00 noon with the funeral at the Parish of the Resurrection Church in South River at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Anglican Cemetery, Brigus. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in David’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
