Swinamer, Aileen Lena “Rita” — 85, of Gypsum Mines, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, November 20th, 2011 at Haliburton Place, Windsor. Born on April 8th, 1926 in Leminster, Hants County, she was the daughter of the late Harding and Effie (Wile) O’Leary. Rita loved doing the cryptoquote, jigsaw puzzles, attending bingo and was an avid gardener. Surviving are sons, Brad (Judy) Lunn, Windsor; Sandy (Connie) Lunn, Gypsum Mines; one beloved granddaughter, Melissa; sisters, Thelma Leary and Merle Phillips, both of Windsor. Predeceased by her first husband, George Lunn (1969); second husband, Gordon Swinamer (1974); oldest son, Gary Lunn (1964); three sisters, Lilly Keddy, Winnie Wilson and Olive Swinamer; two brothers, Murray O’Leary and Milton O’Leary. At her request cremation took place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
