We the family regret to announce the passing of Michael Popadynetz of Kamloops, who died peacefully on November 5, 2009 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.

Michael was born October 15, 1935 on the family farm in the district of Krasne, near Wynyard, Saskatchewan, one of four children. After moving into Wynyard as a young man he continued to pursue his career in plumbing and heating he worked for B&H Plumbing & Heating and Axdals Plumbing & Heating. It was here in Wynyard that he met and married his wife Jean Frederick.

During a period of three years they were blessed with two children Melody and Barry. Shortly after, Michael made a decision to move to Kamloops, BC where he worked for Interior Plumbing & Heating for 12 years. His family grew by two more children, Paulla and Jerry. In 1964, he had a beautiful home built with a shop, and in 1970 he opened his own business Mike's Plumbing & Heating. For 25 years he and his family worked together with his two sons helping out.

Michael was a very conscientious and helpful person, often giving a hand to neighbours and friends with problems. He devoted his life to family, his business and will be missed by all.

Predeceased by his father Alec in 1945, his brother Harold in 1954, his mother Mary in 1986, his sister Stella in 2005 and numerous aunts and uncles.

Surviving Michael are his wife Jean, his four children Melody (Gaston), Barry, Paulla and Jerry (Melody); five grandchildren, Bonnie, Ronnie, Nicole, Jerry and Jordan and five great grandchildren. Also left to mourn his passing are his sister Helen (Ron), brother Norman (Mary), brother-in-law Bill, uncle Joe (Myrna), sister-in-law Joyce (Phillip) Jones and brother-in-law LaVerne (Julia) Frederick.

Cremation. No formal service by request.
