It is with great sadness, that we, the family, announce the passing of Geraldine Campbell on Nov. 7, 2009.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late William and Martha (Ash) Carson.
A devoted and loving wife and mother to her husband, Tom and their four children. Geraldine had a great passion for music and she possessed a beautiful singing voice. She would spend many hours playing her piano and singing to the enjoyment of her family. Her greatest passion was for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought much joy into her life.
Left to mourn is her husband of 67 years, Tom and their four children, Tommy (Diane), Lana (Robert), Sheldon (Leona), all of Sydney, and Linda (Donnie), Halifax; her nine grandchildren, Tommy, Lori-Ann, Diane, Amanda, Jonathan, Anne, Matthew, David and Caitlyn; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Hayward and Jack, and her sisters, Rita and Jennie.
Visitation will be held at S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. at Christ the King Church, George Street, Sydney, with Rev. Fred Rhymes officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.

We would also like to express our appreciation to Rev. Fred Rhymes for his compassion during this difficult time.
