It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Blain Harrietha at his home in North Sydney on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009.
Born in Sydney Mines, Jan. 10, 1961, he was the son of Ralston and Shirley Harrietha of North Sydney. He was as member of St. Pius X parish, Sydney Mines.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his two children, Rose and Joseph Harrietha; his sisters, Roslyn (Reg) Driscoll and Belinda Cox; his nieces, Sacha (Charles John) Noddin and Brittany; nephew, Peter, who will always lovingly remember their uncle Blain. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his brother, Calvin.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by family.
