The death of Leo Joseph Cormier, age 75, resident of Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, formerly of Urbainville, occurred on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. Born on Sept. 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Glorice and Julitte (Bernard) Cormier and husband of the late Thérese (Desroches) Cormier. Loving father of Maurice (Moe) and friend Nicola, grandchildren Madison and Riley. Survived by brothers and sisters Eva (Leo) Richard, Aline LeBlanc, Marc (Doris) Cormier, Anne (Dean) Campbell-Taylor, Yvonne (Adelard) Pitre, Fr. Eddie Cormier, Albert (Cathy) Cormier and Yvon (Yvette) Cormier. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brother Louis and sister Anita also by in-laws Gerald LeBlanc and Bazil (J.A.B.) Campbell. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Wednesday Dec. 7, then to the St. Philippe et St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Visitation on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
