Lila Roberta Milligan, 83, Rockland, Kings Co., N.S., passed away suddenly on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at home. Born in Knutsford, Prince Edward Island, she was a daughter of the late Hughie and Georgie (Adams) MacGregor. Lila had worked at Cunard Poultry and later in the laundry department at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick, N.S., until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, attending crib tournaments and bingo nights at the Berwick and District Lions Club. Surviving are her son, Scott, Rockland, N.S.; grandsons, Scotty and Brandon, and their mother, Denise Milligan; brother, Gary (Paulette) MacGregor, Gimli, Man.; sisters, Carol (Albert) MacWilliams, Riverview, N.B.; Brenda MacGregor, Summerside; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Russell W. Milligan; brothers, Albert “Abb” and Lewis; sisters, Annie Laurie in infancy; Lilas Kirev. Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Berwick United Church, 240 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S. Rev. Linda Winton officiating, with interment in the Berwick Cemetery.
