It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sylvester Gough announce his passing on Sunday, November 8th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ida in 1991. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his daughters: Zellah (Joe) Battiste, Arnprior, Ont. and Laura (Eric) Blakeley, Ottawa, Ont.; son Selby "Buster" Gough, Corner Brook and Maureen Gough, Corner Brook; grandchildren: Aaron Battiste, Costa Rica, Brent Mitchell, Ottawa, Ont., Dawn Tulk, Corner Brook and Mark Gough, Corner Brook; brothers: Darryl (Fay), Gander and Ezekiel (Vida), York Harbour; sister Molly Sanger, Elliston; dear friend Emma Rose, Corner Brook. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 3:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted.
