It is with the most profound sadness that we announce we lost our precious little Cruz in his sleep on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011. Cruz was just 7 months old but filled our hearts with enough joy for a lifetime. He was the cutest little boy with the biggest blue eyes, like Mom and Dad. He always had a big smile on his precious face for everybody to see. Now in the arms of the Lord, Cruz leaves to mourn his loving parents, Ginger Lee Hill and Gerald Vandermeulen along with sister, Teagan. After the ceremony, Mommy, Daddy and Teagan and congregation will release 100 balloons for Cruz, 98 blue ones for Christmas and 2 red ones so Cruz can feel Mom and Dad’s love from their hearts. Ginger and Gerald want to thank everyone for their love and support in their time of need. They ask one thing of everybody…hug their child today. Cruz is also survived by his Grandparents, David and Debbie Hill and Dameris Vandermeulen; Aunt Tami (Shawn) Kuntz and cousins, Adison and Macy Kuntz; Uncle Chris Vandermeulen of Lethbridge; Aunt Schanel (Kenny) Chapman of Coaldale and cousin, Kase; Uncle Remengton Vandermeulen; Uncle Braxton Vandermeulen; Aunt Lexington Vandermeulen; Great-Grandparents, Bob and Monique Marciszyn, Gord and Mary Hill, and Shirley Campbell; Great Uncle Peter Hill; Great Aunt Maria (Ron) Gray of Calgary; as well as a loving extended family. Cruz was predeceased by his grandfather, Gerald Vandermeulen. The Funeral Service will be held in HILLCREST EVANGELICAL MISSIONARY CHURCH, 3785 – 13th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Ron Gray officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate a toy to the Alberta Children’s Hospital or to the Regina General Hospital in the name of Cruz for Christmas.
