THORBURN – Pearl Florence Munro, age 85 of Vale Mountain View Senior Citizens, Thorburn, passed away November 9, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Thorburn, she was a daughter of the late William and Gertrude Mae (McInnis) Auld.
She had been a resident of Thorburn most of her life. Pearl was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, she was also a member of the Thorburn Friendship Group. Pearl enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by sons Bill (Sheila), Plymouth; Art (Brenda), Summerside, PEI; George (Anne), Sutherland’s River; grandchildren: Robert, Roger, Chad, Krista, Stephen, Erin, Katie, and Emily; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Jean Fraser, New Glasgow; Vera (Michael) Pettipas, Thorburn; Betty Lou Semple, New Glasgow; brothers, Fred (Sybil), Thorburn; Francis “Frank” (Muriel), Perry Sound, ON.
She was predeceased by her husband, George A.; and a brother, Ray.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn, with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial will be in Thorburn Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Pearl may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn.
