EDMUND ZERR of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away November 6, 2009 at the age of 86, in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Born January 8, 1923 to Nicholas and Katherine Zerr, he spent the first twenty-four years of his life helping his parents on the farm which was located one mile south of Mankota. He met the love of his life, Yvette Gervais through mutual friends and they were married June 11, 1947. They lived on the farm until October of the same year then made the move to Moose Jaw to start their new adventure. That winter Dad worked at the Seed Pool to provide for his new wife but come spring, the start of house construction season Dad started a line of work which he was good at and proud of, there are many homes in Moose Jaw and surrounding area that Dad either built or renovated. He continued with this line of work until he sustained an injury in 1974 and even then he continued to help family and friends with work projects. Dad had a wealth of knowledge and was always willing to share that knowledge. He finished his working career at the Park Hotel where he did extensive renovations. Dad was a hard worker and a good provider, he was a private man, a proud man and a loving man in his own way. It wasn’t often he’d tell you he loved you but whenever he talked about any of his kids, grandkids or great-grandkids he had a sparkle in his eyes that told you he loved us all and was very proud of us. Dad loved spending time at the lake tending to his garden. We love you Dad and will forever miss you. Predeceased by his loving wife Yvette Zerr, parents Katherine and Nicholas Zerr, father-in-law Armond Gervais, brothers-in-law Paul Fauchon, Richard Bourlon, Roland Gervais, Andy Gervais and a sister-in-law in infancy.
