Camille Leger
LÉGER, CAMILLE - Camille Leger, 90, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at ProTem Health Services in Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born November 11, 1921 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Arthur and Jeanne (Belliveau) Léger. Camille was a retired supervisor with CN Stores Department, a veteran of W.W.2. and a past member of Club Richelieu Moncton. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Imelda (Bastarache); his sisters and brothers: Paul (Lorraine), Henri (late Armande), Géraldine Léger, Antoine (Jeanine), Thérèse Green (late Hugh), Catherine Léger, Jacqueline Manuel, Annette St-Coeur (late Alphée), Victor (late Yvonne), Pauline Lannagan (late Tom) and Yvonne Niles (late Albert); many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters and brothers: Rita Bastarache (late Eric), Pierre, Raymond (late Bernice), Marie-Jeanne Melanson (Gérald) and Antoinette Léger.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours: Wednesday, December 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:20). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, 226 St. George Street, Moncton, Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Veterans of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
