Erfle, Charles John (Chuck)

Charles John Erfle “Chuck” passed away Dec 5, 2011 at Prairie Pioneer’s Lodge in Swift Current. Charles was born in Lodi, California, USA in 1928. He came to Canada with his family in 1929 settling in Scout Lake area. In 1944 the family relocated to a ranch north of Ernfold. In 1953 Chuck married Isabella Laberge. They bought a ranch north of Morse where they resided for 49 years, where together they raised their family Kenneth, Cathy and Betty. Chuck is survived by his wife Isabella, daughters Cathy (Jeff), Betty (Ray), grandchildren Chad (Dorthea), Coleman, Dawn (Chris), John, and his brother Richard. He was predeceased by his parents, son Kenneth, three sisters, and one brother. Chuck and Isabella retired in 2001, moving to Herbert in 2002. In Jan 2010 he took up residence in Prairie Pioneer’s Lodge in Swift Current, where he amazed everyone with the way he could still sing word for word and keep dancing. By his own request there will be no funeral service. A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Herbert Lions Community Hall in Herbert, SK. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations made to Prairie Pioneer’s Lodge Auxiliary S.C. Alzheimer’s Unit would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
