LYONS, HAROLD FREDERICK - The passing of Harold Frederick Lyons of Charters Settlement, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers hospital on December 7 2011 at the age of 79. Born in Bettsburg NB he was the son of the late Lloyd and Grace (Stewart) Lyons. Harold was involved with the Anglican Church, an avid outdoorsman, four wheeling, he was a member of the Fish and Game association, Military reserves (Signal Core), Militia (Radio Instructor) and was involved in the early years of the New Maryland Rec. Center. Survived by daughter Janet Lynch (Shawn) of Charters Settlement, son Gary Lyons (Melinda) of Rusagonis; grandchildren, Timothy, Ashley Lyons and Scott, Adam Lynch. One great grandchild; Hunter Lyons., two brothers; Richard Lyons (Pat) and Marvin Lyons (Donna); two sisters; Anna Price (George) and Mavis Munn (Jerry). Companion of nine years Elva Smith and several nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his wife Janice Lyons and brother Stephen Lyons.
The family will receive condolences at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Home, 1224 Route 101, Nasonworth on Friday, December 9 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bruce McKenna. Reception to follow. Interment will be held at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Cemetery, New Maryland. Special thanks to Linda Lyons and all the staff at the DECH for all the time and care they gave to Harold and the family during this time of need.
