It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Effie Combdon announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit in the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday December 6, 2011 at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Augustus Combdon; children: Ron of Toronto, ON, Rick (Cathy) of Fort McMurray, AB, Claire Gorman of Eastern Passage, NS, grandchildren: Allison, Carter, Amber and Brodie as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by mother, Sophia White of Indian Buryin Place, NL, father, Ephriam Combdon of Jackson’s Arm, NL, 5 siblings: Beatty, Ralph, Mae, Reg, and Bill. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Wednesday December 7, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday December 8, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. Michael’s & All Angels Anglican Church on Friday December 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Venerable Reverend Edward King officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
