(October 19, 1926 to November 7, 2009) — Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, Joseph Manning of Torbay, in his 83rd year. Leaving to mourn his wife of 58 years Catherine (Morey); three daughters: Marie (Don Kirkland), Cathy (Bud Whitten) and Audrey; four sons: Gerard (Peggy), Eugene (Shirley), Jeffrey (Linda) and Stephen (Susan); grandchildren: Michael (Elizabeth and Nichole (Chris) Kirkland, Glenn, Colin and Ryan Whitten, Stephen (Melissa), Gregory, Katie, Matthew and Samantha Manning; one great-grandchild: Jacob Manning; brother: Cyril (Dot); sisters-in-law: Mary Manning and Margaret Cantwell, (Hamilton, Ont.); brother-in-law: Richard Morey (Isabel); cousin: Mary Nolan and many nieces and nephews. Also home care workers: Cathy Chafe and Diane Thomas. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 9 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Interment to follow at the old R.C.
