BERTIN, VICTOR - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Victor Joseph Bertin of Grove Hill. Born February of 1932 in Jacquet River, NB to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Legacy) Bertin. In earlier years, Victor worked for the General Hospital in the maintenance department. He later worked for the Provincial Government at Grove Hill Landfill, retiring in the late nineties. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for hunting and fishing. Victor will be sadly missed by many.
He is survived by his sons Victor Wayne, Glenn Charles (Debbie) and Brian Brett all of Grove Hill; daughters Kim Adelle Shaw (John) of St. Margaret’s Bay, NS and Marjorie Ann "Mardie" Bertin (Dave) of Sydney, NS; brother Hector Pitre of Grove Hill; seven grandchildren Jay, Tim, Daniel, Mary, Michelle, Lisa and Logan; one great granddaughter Danica; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents Victor was predeceased by sisters Yvonne, Theresa, Belina and Edna and brother Vince.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 12th at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Victor can be made to Children’s Wish Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
