PIERCY, ERVA LILLIAN - Erva L. Piercy of Harvey, York County, NB passed away December 11, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Erva was born in 1933 at Campbell Settlement, York County, a daughter of the late Frank and Etta (Grant) Dunham. She enjoyed tole painting, crafts, snowmobiling, fishing on Oromocto Lake and gardening. Erva was a member of the Cornelius Craft Guild in Harvey as well as Knox Presbyterian Church and the York Progressive Conservative Association. Erva is survived by her husband, Clayton M. Piercy; her children, Elaine Piercy, Fredericton, NB, June Piercy, Douglas, NB, Eric Piercy (Jeri), Douglas, NB and Gale Barrieau (Michael), Harvey, NB; her grandchildren, Dr. Chelsie Estey (Dr. Joshua Smith), Tyler Piercy, Ryan Piercy, Erin Piercy, Jeffery Barrieau and Robert Barrieau; a sister, Ruth Kerr (Jack), Fredericton, NB; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Craig (Hollie), Fredericton, NB and Joyce Piercy, Harvey, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Erva was predeceased by a brother, Morris Dunham.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Erva’s six grandchildren.
