On Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Summerset Manor, Célina Arsenault (Richard) of Miscouche died peacefully at the age of 107 years. She was born to Adaline and Fred Richard in Urbainville, P.E.I., on Sept., 28, 1904. Celina was the widow of Joseph Octave Arsenault. This beloved mother is survived by son, Gus (Zita) of St. Gilbert, P.E.I. daughters Imelda Gautreau, Lorneville, NB. Sister Louise,Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception, Miscouche, P.E.I. and son-in-law, Al Robichaud, Innisfil, ON. From her marriage to the late Tilmon A. Arsenault of Mont Carmel, P.E.I. she is fondly remembered by step-sons Nazaire (Emma) Robert and Raymond (Sandy) Summerside P.E.I., René of Shannon, Q.C., Urbain (Noreen) Mont Carmel, P.E.I., Léonce (Paula) Cantly, Q.C. Paul (Helen) Cornwall, P.E.I., Clair (Shirley) Stratford, P.E.I., by step-daughters Zelda Shephard, Hamilton, ON., Agnes (Ivan) Maillet, Moncton, NB, and Mariette (Yvon) Banville, Gatineau, QC. and by sister-in-law Yvonne Arsenault Le Chez-Nous, Wellington, P.E.I. Célina was a loving Mémé, Nana and Mémère to her grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren from both families, a special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a good friend to many people. Besides her parents and husbands she was predeceased by sons Anthony and Roosevelt (Baba) daughter Mary Anne Robichaud, son-in-law Jean-Claude Gautreau one sister, five brothers (including Céofred Richard, Urbainville) and step-mother Marie Gaudet. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in Miscouche, on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with interment in the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church Cemetery, Egmont Bay. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. John the Baptist Restoration Fund, Summerset Manor Equipment Fund or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
