At the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Thursday, April 17, 2008, of Adele Emily Chaisson of the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, and formally of Tignish, age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Orville J. Chaisson. Born Nov. 3, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mathilda (nee Bernard) Gaudet. Dear mother to Mathilda Chaisson and Yvonne Chaisson of Toronto and Theresa (Ivan) DesRoches of St. Felix. Loving grandmother to 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Lucy (late Raymond) Doucette, Evelyn (Late Henry) Arsenault and Gerald (Marie) Gaudet, all of Tignish. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Josephine Chaisson of Tignish. She was predeceased by her sons Isidore, Gerard, Edgar and Alphie (in infancy). She was also predeceased by brothers and sisters Eric, Joseph, Alphonse, Eva and Anna. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Funeral Saturday from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to Maplewood Manor or Tignish Seniors Co-op Home would be appreciated. Visiting hours Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, 12 noon until time of funeral.
