Margaret Eldora MacDonald, 84, of First Street, Trenton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2009 at her home.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Christina (Cameron) Clark. She was a member of the First United Church, Trenton. She worked side by side with her husband George operating Gunner’s Taxi for many years in Trenton. She was an avid card player, and enjoyed her weekly TV Bingo games. Marg enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by sons: Lux (Colleen); Dave (Pat); Lewis; Robbie; Billy (Melodie), all of Trenton; daughters: Carol (Hugh) MacEachern, Trenton; Christina (Chuck) MacInnis, Trenton; grandchildren: Gussie; Randy; Sherri; Craig; Tammie; Dale; J.D.; Angela; Jillian; Daniel; David; Mary; Chuckie; Hunter; great grandchildren: Taylor; Dylan; Kady; Maggie; Keigan; Hannah; Dale; Brooke; brother: Les (Marion) Dilsbury, MacLellan’s Brook; sisters: Leona (Percy Sheppard), Louisbourg; Nellie (Douglas Patton), Glen Haven Manor; chosen son, Peter Boyles, Trenton; special friend, Ellen; faithful neighbours, Buddy, Mel and Helen; special card partner, Dwayne.
She was predeceased by husband, George “Gunner†MacDonald; daughter, Kenda (MacDonald) Langley; brothers: Murray Clark (Westville); Reubin “Chuck†Clark (Stellarton); Chester Clark, Aubrey Clark (Ontario); sisters: Francis Stewart (Stellarton); Bertha Smith (Stellarton); Thelma Clark. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, High St., Trenton. Funeral service 2 pm Friday in First United Church with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
