The family of the late Bill Hickey would like to express our thanks and gratitude to all those who helped alleviate the sorrow caused by the death of a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, father-in-law and son-in-law.

We gratefully acknowledge the phone calls, visits, cards, e-mails, food and prayers, donations to the Western Memorial Hospital and Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Benoits Cove. Thank you to Dr. Sparrow for your many years of caring and kindness; Dr. Dean for your brief care; the nursing staff of 3B and also the staff of the Palliative Care Unit. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

To his co-workers and friends who took part in the service and escorted him to his final resting place. To Father Buckle, Sister Donna and Barbara Hickey for the beautiful service. To Jessica Companion who sang a special song at the gravesite. To Fillatre’s Funeral Home, thank you Florence, Baeden, Keith and also Glen at the Memorial Dept., your kindness and professionalism will never be forgotten.

Most of all, to our daughter-in-law Tammy Temple-Hickey, who was with him from the beginning to the end, whether it was St. John’s, Halifax or an everyday appointment, not to mention the care at home, taking over the funeral arrangements and being there for the family to help us through this difficult time. You were his private nurse and he loved you dearly.
