On November 23, 2011 we were deeply saddened by the loss of a wonderful husband, father, poppy, father-in-law, and brother-in-law.

A sincere thanks to the paramedics and first responders, and the staff of the emergency room at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all family and friends for their kindness and support during this difficult time. We gratefully acknowledge all who sent cards, emails, flowers, donations of food, and charitable donations. All charitable donations we received were sent to Ronald McDonald House in Melvin's memory.

Special thanks to Major Janes and to all who participated in the church service. A very special thank you to the pallbearers Steward, Tom, Joe, Dave, Leonard, and Calvin.

Also, thank you to the staff at Fillatre’s Funeral Home for your kindness and professionalism.
