It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy Chesley Snook announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit in the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday December 13, 2011 at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 56 years Greta (nee Wheeler), children Linda (Bart Stringham) of Washington, DC, Brian (Ann Marie) of Ajax, ON, Joanne (Wince Curnew, Rebecca Curnew), Sherri-Lynn (Rory Hoyles), grandchildren Kelly, Ian, Brian-Roy, Richard, Andrea, Krista-Lee, great grandchildren Erica, Carson, cousins Marie Rumbolt (Arch), and (Nina Pye) of Mary’s Harbour, Labrador. He is predeceased by his parents George Snook, and Sadie (Green) Snook. Visitation took place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday December 14, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and will take place on Thursday December 15, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Cathedral of the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Main Street on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Very Reverend Michael Rice officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Cathedral of the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Restoration Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
