PLEDGE, LINDA ANNE - 1945-2011 - Linda Pledge, 66, of Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, December 14th. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Evelyn (Rogers) Love. Linda was formerly employed as a custodian with District 2 at Harrison Trimble High School. She had a true love for music, which was expressed whenever she played the guitar or accordion, and she also had a special place in her heart for her animals, especially her beloved dog Lacey. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Joanne MacFarlane (Martin) of Boundary Creek, Belinda Gillis of Moncton; a sister, Helen Steeves of Borden, PEI; a brother, George Love of Riverview; and her cherished grandchildren; Connor and Alexander. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her second husband, Frank. She will also be missed by her special and dear friend, Louis Melanson of Moncton. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses (especially those on 6600 at the Moncton Hospital) who cared for Linda during her lengthy illness.
The funeral will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Saturday, December 17th, at 1 PM with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. The interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations to Hospice Greater Moncton or the N.B. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
