Passed peacefully away on Monday, November 9, 2009 surrounded by his family, Rennie Seymour Gaulton, age 65 years, retired Associate Professor of Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Leaving to celebrate his life, loving wife, Sylvia (Melendy), son Trevor, daughter Tina, son-in-law Corey Chiasson and Poppy’s pride and joy, grandchildren Luke and Lacey; also his father Luke (predeceased by his mother Vera); sister Joyce (Bud Jenkins), Jean (Fred Thompson, Halifax), brother Barrie (Anne Marie), sister June (Tolson Stockwood), brothers-in-law: Jack Melendy (Dot), Karl Melendy (Rita), nieces, nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews, large circle of friends, colleagues and special lifelong friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation took place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday, November 11th and 12th, 2009 from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held on Friday, November 13th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Wesley United Church, Patrick Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cowan Heights United Church and/or The Vera Perlin Society.
