Stuart D. Currie of Crowes Mills passed away the 11th day of November 2009 in the Colchester Regional Hospital at the age of 79. Stuart was born in Crowes Mills and was the son of the late Burton and Ella (Totten) Currie. He is survived by his wife Joanna; daughter, Jane (John Wile) Crowes Mills; sons, Daniel, Debert, Jamie (Michele) Pictou County, Timothy and Doug Ross, both of Crowes Mills; grandchildren, Russell Wile, Erin (Justin Oakley), Ellen (Kyle Conrad) Wile, Justin and Ryan Currie; great grandchildren, Caidence Oakley, Jayden Wile and soon to arrive Daegon Oakley; sister, Hazel (Lorne Clark), British Columbia; several nieces and nephews. Stuart was predeceased by brothers Cecil, Fred, and sisters Violet and Betty. Funeral Services will be held at the Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Pastors David MacLean and Bill Martin officiating on Sunday November 15, 2009 with visiting from 1:00 pm until time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm.
