Willena ‘Queenie’ Cantwell, Sydney Mines, passed away peacefully at the Northside General Hospital on Friday, November 13, 2009.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Willian and Alice Cantwell.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda (Bobby) Blinkhorn; her grandchildren Kyle (Jean) and Jana (Brad); her great-grandchildren Mark and Jack. Also surviving are her sister Dorothy, Halifax; her brother Fred and special sister-in-law Jacqueline Cantwell, Sydney Mines and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters Rebecca and Jennie and her brothers William and Louie.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Pius X Church, Sydney Mines. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
