WHITE, Joan F. (nee Crocker)– Passed away peacefully at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Center on Thursday, December 15th, 2011 after a noble battle with cancer - a battle she bore with courage and strength. Predeceased by her husband Edgar whom she loved and cared for and is now reunited and parents Samuel and Ida (Gladys) Crocker. Leaving to mourn three devoted sons: Jamie (wife Tamie, grandsons Sam and Jacob), Jody (wife Rebecca, grandsons Benjamin and Marcus, and Jeffrey (wife Shannon, grandchildren Ethan and Hailey). Also one sister and her best friend, Brenda (husband, Patrick Maher) of St. John’s. Joan will be sadly missed by her in-laws: John White (Catalina); Ben & Eleanor White (St. John’s); Florence & Keith Shirran (Bonavista); Aletha & Tony Ricketts (Bonavista) and their families. Resting at Strathie’s Funeral Home, Catalina on Friday, December 16th – Sunday, December 18th. Funeral service from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Catalina, at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 18th.
