SMITH, Roderic Clyde – Passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 12, 2009, Roderic Clyde Smith of Clarenville, aged 52 years. Left with fond memories his loving wife of 21 years, Kathy Smith (Vey); dearly loved son Nicholas; parents Eric and Ethel Smith, Hodge’s Cove; parents-in-law William and the late Mary Vey, Long Beach; sister Sheila (David) Howse of St. John’s; sisters-in-law: Ella Peddle, Hodge’s Cove, Donna Vey (Stu Roberts), St. John’s and Karen (Graham) Spurrell, Butter Cove; brother-in-law Lloyd (Donna) Vey, Goulds; nieces and nephews Daniel, Christopher and Braden Howse, Denise (Paul) Whelan, Ray (Meta) Peddle, Deidre and Dayna Vey, Danielle (Phillip) Stennett, Nicole and Brittany Spurrell and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Saturday, November 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Heart’s Ease on Sunday, November 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church, Hodge’s Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Eastern Chapter of the Autism Society, Clarenville.
