Lund, Lenore Audrey (Garrard) died peacefully with family members at her bedside, Thursday afternoon, November 12, 2009 in Williams Country Home, Hilden. Lenore loved life and lived it with humour and zest. She also loved her grandchildren and took great interest in their activities. She loved to travel in Canada and the United States spending some months in Mississippi with her Air Force husband and three years in France touring many different European countries. Her hobbies included painting and the love of the outdoors and animals. She is survived by her husband, H. Ernie Lund; daughter, Kathryn (Michael) Saxton; grandchildren, Mike, Amy and Kaitlin Saxton. She was predeceased by her father, Leslie Arthur Garrard MM; mother, Mary Garrard; sister, Mary Heath. The family wish to thank Carmen Payson, administrator of Williams Country Homes for her dedication, caring and sensitivity as well as all of the wonderful members of her caring staff. A special thank you also to Dr. Pugsley, her family physician for his professional advice and care. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:30 pm with visitation and reception to follow at approximately 7:00 – 8:30 pm, all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.
