Molly MacLean

Linacy; With heavy hearts the family of Laura “Molly” MacLean, 69 of Linacy, Pictou County announce her passing on Saturday December 17th, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in New Glasgow she was the eldest daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Hughes) Payne.
Molly was a resident of Linacy since her marriage to Bob in 1965, where she was an active member of the Ladies Aux. of the Linacy Fire Dept.
During her early working years she worked for Traders Finance and later with Scotia Bank where she retired after 20 years.
She was a member of Trinity United Church. Molly cherished spending time with her family especially her grandchildren who she adored.
Molly and Bob enjoyed camping as a family and with their friends. In later years enjoyed vacationing in Florida.
Surviving are her husband Bob MacLean, Linacy her daughters Janice (Sandy) Rhyno, Thorburn; Lori (Howard) Atwater, Truro; and son Robbie (Sandi) MacLean, Linacy; as well as her grandchildren Jeff and Brandon Rhyno; Karlee, Liam and Dylan Atwater and Addison MacLean.
She is also survived by her sisters Beverly (Allie) Jordan, Westville; Sadie (Barry) Hale, Westville;
Colleen (Bruce) Dickson, Miramichi and
brother Bobbie (Annie) Payne, Westville.
Molly was predeceased by her parents.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Monday in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home, 256 King St., New Glasgow.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11 A.M. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Webber –Cook officiating.
A reception will follow at the Linacy Fire Dept.
Burial will be in the Lorne Street Cemetery.
Donations in Molly’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the V.O.N.
