Lynds, Ruth Eleanor (MacLean) 70 – Queen Street, Truro. It is with great
sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and
sister on November 14, 2009 at Colchester Regional Hospital,
Truro. Born in Londonderry, Ruth was the daughter of the late
Lawrence and Irene (O’Brien) MacLean. Ruth will be remembered for
her great strength, kindness and wonderful sense of humour. She
held a special place in the heart of her many friends and former
coworkers at Scotia Bank and will be sadly missed by all who knew
her. She is survived by her son, Pierre, Londonderry; daughters,
Petra (Kenny) MacDonald, Truro and Pamela (Brian) Barton, Bedford;
grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah, Cody and Brett, whom she loved
dearly; sister, Faye (Ken) MacDonald, Trenton, niece Nancy and nephews Ian, Jeffery and Allan.
There will be no funeral at Ruth’s request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes
Association or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements
are under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home,
