JOHNSTON, JAMES ORVILLE - J. Orville Johnston of Harvey, NB passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1932 at Harvey, NB, a son of the late James and Janet (Patterson) Johnston. Orville was a hard worker all his life, employed at trucking, farming, carpentry and woodswork.. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nina (Hudson) Johnston; and his family who were very special to him, daughters, Janice McCullough (Calvin McMullin), Wendy Johnston, Trony Dunnett (Darren); son Grant Johnston (Tammy MacDonald); grandchildren, Laura and Carrie McCullough, Brendon and Ryan Hill, Dexter and Tekla Johnston; brother Mervyn Johnston (Arlene); sister-in-law, Beryl Johnston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Orville was predeceased by his sisters and their husbands, Grace Christie (Roy) and Avis McCullough (Allen) and his brother, Dell Johnston.
Visitation will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Highway 3, Harvey, NB on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will follow in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews Edward Christie, Bradley McCullough, Myles Johnston, Darren Johnston and friends Gordon Coburn and Raymond Nichol.
